Jack was one of the "pup-sicles" from the first frozen semen-sired litter in Stanadard Schnauzers. He was a small, compact, very well-balanced package - just 18-1/4" tall, with a very deep body, beautiful hard jacket, good bone, with correct, strong, efficient movement. His head was perhaps one of the most beautiful we've produced - dark, perfect almond-shaped eyes that twinkled, flat topskull, perfect planes, good length of muzzle over large teeth in a perfect scissors bite. He finished his CH easily, but did not really enjoy the show ring - he'd rather not be put through all the fuss. He was fascinated by dogs with tails though, and while still a puppy, waiting his turn outside the ring near the Newfoundlands, he reached out and held on to the tail of the Newfie nearby - looked like a giant squirrel tail to him, I suppose! Fortunately the Newf didn't notice, and I did convince him he had to let his "prize" go!!

Jack moved to IL with me when I left MN to take a job, but a few years later went back north to live with my parents. He was my father's walking buddy, and gentle protector of the household. His special mission was to rid the area of vermin, especially squirrels - but mostly he was frustrated on that score! At 13yrs old, he did kill a huge woodchuck that was living near the barn though - which made him very proud and very tired!! He was approaching 17 years old when they finally had to say good-bye to him. He is still missed.

Jack is a SSCA Leading Producer, with 6 CH offspring, and others pointed but never finished.
